THE CANADIAN CHURCH CALENDAR
Do you ever wonder what colour the church table cloth is going to be or when the day set aside to celebrate St. Barnabas the Apostle is?  The 2015 Canadian Church Calendar also has beautiful pictures of Canadian Churches (including places like Whitehorse United Church - April).  A limited supply of calendars are available at the church for only $5.

DEEP WINTER SONG
Join Gordon Oaks Jr. and other local musicians for a mystical evening of music and story on December 21st at 7pm at the Centre For Spiritual Living: 7621-101 Ave.  You will enjoy an acoustic musical presentation exploring and celebrating the Mystery of the Solstice, Christmas, and of this wondrous dark season of winter.  The evening highlights traditional and modern songs of the season along with storytelling, poetry, angelic vocals, a Solstice Fire ritual, and a fire dance.  Tickets for this event are available at Earth's General Store on Whyte Ave and online: http://deepwintersong2014.eventbrite.com.


HUMAN TRAFFICING WORKSHOP
Peace Lutheran church is hosting this event on Saturday, January 31st from 10am to 3pm.  Lunch is provided at a cost of $15.  It will be an opportunity to learn about the issue of “Human Trafficking” and what we can do to address that issue globally and locally.   Please

SAFEWAY GIFT CARDS
St. David’s can sell you gift cards for Safeway (at face value) every Sunday after church in a variety of value combinations.  There is no need to pre-order, we have them on hand.  You can take them home that day.  A percentage of the cost stays with the church as a fundraiser. 


GIVING REGULAR OFFERINGS
For people who want to give weekly offerings to the church, the 2015 offering envelops are available at the church.  If you used envelopes in 2014 or want to begin using some, they are available at the church to be picked up.  This allows the church’s treasurer to issue you one receipt at the end of the year for all of your givings.


YOUTH GROUP
St. David’s is please to offer regular events for junior and senior high youth every second Friday - the next gathering is, December 9th.  Bring your friends and come to the church at 7:30pm.  For more information contact, youth@stdavidsleduc.com.


THE CALENDAR REVs
Real Women - Real Ministers: This fun and provocative 8.5 x 11 calendar is brimming with images of female ministers at work and at play, with their partners and families. By purchasing this calendar, you will not only helping us counter and satirize the stereotypes of women ministers, but will help do some good in the world: Proceeds from each sale will go to the Malala Fund, an international organization whose aim is to create a world where girls are empowered to reach their potential through quality education.

care@stdavidsleduc.com  Cathy Mundt, the church’s Connection Coordinator is happy to visit with people and share the care of the church.  She also is the person to talk to about ideas for events the church can put on to help bring people together.

office@stdavidsleduc.com  Kate Peter, the church’s Administrative Assistant is in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am to 1pm.  If you have information for the announcements or need to book space at the church, contact her during those times.
