SUNDAY MORNING STUDY CHATS
For the rest of March ,
come to church early on Sundays for a brief, but enlightening study and chat
time.  Meet from 9:15am - 10:00am in the Nursery (south end of
building).  Come for one or all of these times and engage your
spirits.  This week we will be looking at
one of the most well known poems in the Bible - the 23rd Psalm
.

Any teens or adults who are interested
in spending time exploring faith are invited to come for three before-church
sessions on April 26, May 3 and May 10.  An opportunity for confirmation

BETTER THAN A SELFIE

St. David’s publishes a photo directory of those who are currently involved in
the church.  2015 is that year.  You will be contacted to set up an
appointment to have your picture taken sometime been April 22-25.  There
is no cost to you to be part of the directory and you will receive a copy when
it is completed.  If you would like to order pictures for yourself, you
will be able to do that as well.  Sign up for your appointment time after
church this Sunday.





RISE UP HOUSE
Riseup House
will be holding its first public Annual General Meeting on March 19, 2015
(7pm) at the Days Inn in Leduc. Please come to celebrate the House’s successes
over the last year. Guest Speaker, Lisa Austin will be presenting on

DOING JUSTICE IN A CULTURE OF FEAR
How do we live faithfully, pursuing justice in a culture of fear? 
The Edmonton Social Justice Institute invites you to a forum to consider this
question on March 27 and 28 at Newman Theological College. 
You will be led by Dr. Scott Bader Say, Professor of Christian Ethics and Moral

It is well known that almost everyone who ever got involved in a church
went first because someone they knew invited them.  We have something
special going on at St. David’s.  You are encouraged to share your

HONOURING CLEARWATER UNITED CHURCH
A rededication of the Clearwater
United Church Cairn in its new home at the Clearwater Cemetery (just south of
Beaumont) will take place at 2pm on Sunday, April 12, 2015: one week after
Easter.





CONCERT AT ST.
DAVID’S
Vince Anderson
(known to some as a member of the musical group, the Acoustiholics)
will be presenting a night of song and music at the church on April 25
at 7pm.  Vince will be presenting his interpretations of church music that
we can find in our hymnbook, Voices United.  $20 tickets are available at
the church for this evening of “Songs from
the Big Red Book

you up for Sunday services.  For a ride or information, contact Lynn Read

SEEDS OF HOPE FOR LEDUC’S HOMELESS
The Leduc & District Emergency Shelter Association (The Hub) invites you to their 2nd annual fundraiser night on April 18th that will include entertainment and a guest speaker. They will be announcing our plan to address the homeless challenge in Leduc County!  If you would like tickets or have donations for the silent auction, contact Susan Perry at (780)739-5482 or reception@lrhub.org.


THE GENIUS OF MARION
Come to the church on THIS Sunday, March 15, 2015 (1pm) for a Screening of The Genius of Marion - a moving and fascinating documentary on Alzheimer’s Disease.  No cost – this movie is sponsored by the congregation’s Pastoral Care committee.

From August 8-15 in corner Brook NL, the United Church of Canada will hold its triennial General Council Meeting the 42nd since 1925.  This is where significant statements and changes from and for our church are decided upon.  Check the website regularly for information - especially during that week, when live streaming will be available - who knows you might see someone you know.

The County and City of Leduc have again teamed up with the Leduc Christian Ministerial Association to offer a morning of prayer and inspiration.  Get you tickets ($15) from the church office and come on March 21st (8am) to hear Danielle Strickland speak about her work with the Salvation Army in the area of human trafikking in Canada.

TAX RECEIPTS
The charitable tax receipts for 2014 donations have all been picked up or mailed.  If you have not received yours yet or if you notice an error, contact Lois at finance@stdavidsleduc.com.


STAY CONNECTED WHILE AT THE CHURCH
The church office has a new computer for the Administrative Assistant and the bookkeeper to use.  Along with that, the church installed a new internet router.  It has a bit stronger signal and a dedicated “guest” wifi, separate from the office network.  Signs are up around the church with the guest login password.
