TAX RECEIPTS
The charitable tax receipts for 2014 donations have all been picked up or mailed.  If you have not received yours by February 28th or if you notice an error, contact Lois at finance@stdavidsleduc.com.


STAY CONNECTED WHILE AT THE CHURCH
The church office has a new computer for the Administrative Assistant and the bookkeeper to use.  Along with that, the church installed a new internet router.  It has a bit stronger signal and a dedicated “guest” wifi, separate from the office network.  Signs are up around the church with the guest login password.

SEEDS OF HOPE FOR LEDUC’S HOMELESS
The Leduc & District Emergency Shelter Association (The Hub) invites you to their 2nd annual fundraiser night on April 18th that will include entertainment and a guest speaker. They will be announcing our plan to address the homeless challenge in Leduc County!  If you would like tickets or have donations for the silent auction, contact Susan Perry at (780)739-5482 or reception@lrhub.org.


THE GENIUS OF MARION
Come to the church on Sunday, March 15, 2015 (1pm) for a Screening of The Genius of Marion - a moving and fascinating documentary on Alzheimer’s Disease.  No cost – this movie is sponsored by the congregation’s Pastoral Care committee.

MAYORS’ PRAYER BREAKFAST
SafewayCard.pngThe County and City of Leduc have again teamed up with the Leduc Christian Ministerial Association to offer a morning of prayer and inspiration.  Get you tickets ($15) from the church office and come on March 21st (8am) to hear Danielle Strickland speak about her work with the Salvation Army in the area of human trafikking in Canada.

St. David’s can sell you gift cards for Safeway or Coop (at face value) every Sunday after church in a variety of value combinations.  There is no need to pre-order, we have them on hand.  You can take them home that day.  A percentage of the cost stays with the church as a fundraiser. 


WATOTO CHILDREN’S CHOIR
SafewayCard.pngThe Watoto Children’s Choir is offering several concerts in the Edmonton area between now and March 11th.  Look at their calendar to see when you might be able to catch this inspiring group.  The Watoto organization offers programs to aid the overwhelming number of orphaned children and vulnerable women in Uganda.


JOURNAL WRITING WORKSHOP
You may recall a workshop at St. David’s several years ago with Ray McGinnis.  He will be in our neighbourhood again.  You are invited to Writing From The Heart Journaling  on Tuesday, March 17th from 1-4pm at Stony Plain United Church.  Register by contacting 780 963-4745 or stonyuc@telus.net.  Cost is $20 payable at the event.


YOUTH GROUP
St. David’s is pleased to offer regular events for junior and senior high youth every second Friday - the next gathering is March 1st.  Bring your friends and come to the church at 7:00pm.  For more information contact, youth@stdavidsleduc.com.


SURPRISE LAKE CAMP
SLC is a United Church Summer Camp near Edson.  The society is holding their annual meeting on March 7th at 11am in the Stony Plain United Church (5014 51 Ave, Stony Plain).  Society memberships are $10 and can be paid at the door.

BLANKET EXERCISE
You are invited to take part in this powerful educational tool that seeks to bridge reconciliation between aboriginal and non-aboriginal people.  Sunday, February 15, 2015:  1pm–5pm at Southminster-Steinhauer United Church (10740-19 Ave, Edmonton, AB).  There is no cost, but please RSVP by emailing Aynsley info@smsuc.com or phoning 780-435-2028. PANCAKE SUPPER
Come to the church on Tuesday, February 17 from 5:30pm -7:00pm for a tasty Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper.  $5 for youth/adults - payable at the door.  What is Shrove Tuesday?  Read this.


YOUR MISSION AND SERVICE DOLLARS AT WORK
